Fishnet

Hello again! I recently got given a load of old clothes to look through and I found this fishnet top among everything. I've wanted one for ages (well, for the past month or so...) so I was really excited when I discovered it. I've been thinking of different ways of styling it (it looks great layered under a dress) but I decided to opt for a simple tucking in a skirt technique which can't really go wrong. I like how it's layered with the top underneath and it sort of creates a half sporty-luxe kind of look, (which I really like, but have never been brave enough to try myself) and the silver touches add to this. I've paired it with my skirt from ebay (it can also be found in these 2 posts) which has been well worth the purchase considering it was an absolute bargain.

What do you think of my outfit? What have you been lusting after recently?

Get Lucky

Has anyone else been obsessing over this song at the moment? I know, I know, it's not the greatest song (so repetitive) but it's really catchy! On a side note, I'm hoping to get lucky (see what I did there!?) at a car boot sale on Sunday. I'd quite like to find a few good, cheap pieces if possible. I'm feeling quite inspired by other bloggers' successful attempts at finding good bargains (Lulutrixabelle in particular) so fingers crossed for me.
If you're calculating the money I spent on this outfit, it would come to £8 (the shoes). Most of the items were passed onto me by other people who no longer wanted them. The skirt used to be a strappy dress. I wasn't a fan of the style so I simply cut off the top and I really love how it looks as a skirt. The fabric is so so lovely and aren't the colours amazing?. I've gone for a plain white shirt again today. I don't think I'll ever get tired of collars and they're so easy to wear and match with other pieces. I don't tend to wear many bracelets (even though I own a lot) but I do really like how this silver bracelet looks.
Anyway, off to do some hardcore revision now....

What have you been doing recently? What do you think of my outfit?

Silver is better than gold

Happy Birthday to me... Yes, it's my birthday today - officially 17. I've been very lucky with receiving clothes this year so I've got a lot of outfits lined up for you over the next few weeks! The only present I have in this outfit is the bracelet from my aunt, uncle and cousins (if you're reading this, thank you so much for the presents!). The skirt, as promised, was made from the extra material left over from my velvet dress (seen in this post). The shirt is one of my favourites as it is so easy to just throw on and mix with a skirt. It was given to me by my grandma a couple of years ago.

4 outfits for spring...

So I've been browsing shops online to come up with these 4 outfits for you just in time for spring (can't believe how fast time flies!).
After seeing so many other bloggers wearing clothes from Choies.com I decided to have a look at it and found I was in heaven! The clothes on there are all (literally all of them) amazing and not badly priced either hence why I included so many in this post. If you haven't seen it already, I'd recommend taking a look.

Baby it's cold outside...

Hello again! It was freezing today (literally), but luckily I managed to venture outside (for as short a time as possible) to take a few photos of my outfit.  I'm wearing a shirt that my mum bought me for Christmas (from a charity shop). It's perfect for just throwing on and pretty much goes with anything so it's perfect. I'm also wearing a skirt from Primark which I managed to buy for only £8, which I think is pretty damn good considering there are plenty of similar skirts out there for loads more. I love the shape it has (again another item which you can mix and match with) and it has a slight metallic silver colour to it which is a bit more interesting than plain black. My tights are actually my only designer item I own. They're from Bora Aksu (pretty much my favourite designer) and I bought them in the sale last year for only £15. I've worn them loads so I'm surprised they haven't produced lots of holes yet!

Rings and things

I found these two images recently that inspired me to write this post. I love the photography in both of them and the way that each highlights the jewellery as the main feature. Often in fashion photos you look at the clothes or the model so it's unusual to find photos like these. The rings below are really cool and it reminds me that I need more for myself!

I really love this look (above). I think what's great about it is that the shirt is very masculine but the outfit is made more feminine by the necklaces and the pearls. It also has a very antique feel.

I currently only have 2 rings (one from New Look and one from Topshop), though I love them both! My favourite kind of jewellery at the moment is gold - anything that's gold and has a edgy kind of feel is great. The great thing is that it can go with anything - literally anything!

My new necklace (River Island). I bought it just the other day but haven't actually worn it yet. It's such a statement necklace I wanted the first time I wore it to be a special occasion where I dress up so I'm planning to wear it to the school's christmas party. I really love how this looks with the shirt and collar in these photos .

I bought this necklace while on holiday in Egypt. It's more of a summer necklace so I haven't worn it much recently but it's definitely coming out when it get's to spring (at least).

My big collection of beaded/pearl necklaces. Most of these I've acquired from my mum, grandma etc. Although I did make the blue one. I always seem to have at least one of these on every day.

This one I also bought on holiday. I used to wear it all the time but don't wear it as much now. I really love the colour though since it stands out so much.

The gold necklace here I literally wear all of the time. It's so useful to just throw on and can instantly make an outfit look better. I got it ages ago (I can't even remember where from - that's an unusual occurence!) and it is actually falling apart slightly but I'm not going to throw it away!
The second one was a present from a friend.

Two of my favourite bracelets here. The white one was bought on holiday and the silver is actually one of those clever bracelet things. You can change it's shape and it can be a necklace or a bracelet or whatever you want. It used to be my mum's but she didn't want it anymore.

I've collected this assortment of bangles throughout my whole life and they're from various differnet places. I don't tend to wear bangles too much because they make a lot of noise (and it can be quite annoying walking around and everytime you lift your arm it makes a noise) but I really should wear them more.

Although it sound crazy this is actually a candle holder (or some kind of thing that goes around the candle?). It actually looks like a proper bracelet and it's carrying on my theme of gold so that's always good!
