Bargain outfits
I'm sorry my posting has been a bit 'off' recently. I've been quite busy at the moment and have lots to do before I go away on Sunday. Chances are I won't have prepared any future posts so my blog will be post-free for a couple of weeks. Although I'm trying to save up all of my money, I've got to admit there have definitely been a few tempting items in the shops at the moment. I've created four outfits here by trying to choose the cheapest possible items. Let me know what you think...
Outfit 1
I really really want this dress. I saw it in the shops when it first came out and now it's only £15. If that's not reason enough to buy it, then I don't know what is! Anyway, for the sake of my bank balance, let's hope no outfit posts with this dress appear on my blog any time soon! I still haven't got myself a pair of heels like these (there's never an excuse to wear them). I considered buying the cheap Primark versions but never got around to it (maybe next time).
Outfit 2
Probably my favourite outfit out of these four. It's always exciting when you find something good (and cheap) in the Topshop sale, such as this top and this skirt. And these heels are definitely going on my wish list (I love that colour)!
Outfit 3
I was actually pleasantly surprised to find that these heels were only £17 and this lovely dress only £10! *reaches for credit card*
Outfit 4
The cheapest jellies I managed to find were this pair from New Look. Although they're a lot less chunky than the originals, they're not a bad replacement.
P.S. My shop will be closed while I am on holiday and will be re-opened on the 5th September.

I haven't been organised enough to create any post drafts for while I'm on holiday so this will be my last post before I go away (See ya'll in 1 and a half weeks!) In the meanwhile, I'll leave you with some images that I've found on pinterest recently. I find my interest in Pinterest sort of goes in waves (one month I'm obsessed, the next month I've forgotten all about it, the next I'm back on it again). I've been using it loads recently.
Which of these images are your favourites?

Sales Wish List
Hello! I thought I'd do a 'pick of the sales' type of post to show you what I've found whilst browsing countless sales online recently. I keep seeing so many bargains dotted around but I've had to keep my money in my purse unfortunately (actually rather difficult to do), to ensure I have enough money for my holiday to Spain (only 19 days to go - whoop! whoop!). I was pleasantly surprised by the Nasty Gal sale (I'm sure every blogger knows how great these clothes are, no need to explain) and almost decided to buy something until I realised postage was at least £10. I've only just realised I've left out Zara in my round up (oops), which just happens to be one of the most talked about sales around (I really should take note of things more often).
Anyway, here are some other items....
Which are your favourites? Have you found any bargains?

Shoes, shoes, shoes!
I haven't been doing much blogging recently (commenting, looking at blogs etc.) as I've been revising for my last exam tomorrow. I find it slightly disconcerting when I feel as if I know enough and I'm not panicking for my exam (because it probably means I'm not prepared enough (if that makes sense?)). I feel like I do hardly any revision compared to some people who seem to be studying all of the time but I guess I'll find out which is the better technique when I get my results in a few months time (too scary to think about at the moment). In between my revision sessions, I've been making a dress which I can't wait to show you in my next post. It's a slightly different style than my usual.
Anyway, onto this post. I have a real obsession with shoes. Sure, getting a new dress or skirt is exciting but finding the perfect pair of shoes just makes me ecstatic! Often I don't like to spend a lot of money on one item but shoes are the exception. I've collected some of the shoes I've been obsessing about recently below. I can't get enough of the stiletto style heels that are around at the moment. Zara sell the perfect pair and River Island also have a lot of nice ones as well. I'm thinking about buying a cheap pair from Primark (£12, I think) and perhaps leaving them how they are or diy-ing them, depending on how I feel. I know that the opinion on jelly shoes is varied but 1. they're practical, 2. they look good, 3. they're perfect for summer so why not!?.
What shoes have you been obsessing over recently? Which of these are your favourite?

Interview with Amy Valentine
Just got back from a Politics exam (didn't go so well but at least that's another exam down) so only 1 proper exam to go! I really should stop scrolling through online shops, my longing to buy something is growing even more, so please don't forget to have a look at the items in my shop. I'm planning to put up a few new things soon and I also possibly have a giveaway coming up so watch this space!
Q 1. Why did you decide to start blogging?
A: I actually used to co-own a jewellery business with my best friend so set up a blog like the other jewellery shops had, then I got into the swing of it and was inspired by fashion bloggers to set up my own!
Q 2. What inspires your outfits?
A: I take a lot of my inspiration from street style photos, but probably my biggest influence is other fashion bloggers.
Q 3: What's your favourite item of clothing?
A: Since I bought my Jeffrey Campbell Spiked Coltranes not so long ago I haven't been able to take them off, I love them so much!
Q 4:Where do you like to shop?
A: High street-wise I like shopping in Topshop, Primark and Urban Outfitters, but they can often be quite expensive, so I prefer shopping online as you can find everything a lot cheaper and use discount codes, as well as pick up some great finds on ebay. I also try to go charity shopping when I can!
Q 5: What's your favourite thing about being a fashion blogger?
A: I love being invited to blogging events as you get a sneak peek at new collections and are able to network with other bloggers, so fun!
Q 6: What tips would you give to new bloggers?
A: Get yourself out there! Post regularly with good quality content, try to network via twitter and leave lots of blog comments with your blog URL at the end, just so the blogger has the choice to get a look at your blog if they want, do not beg someone to follow you, ever!

Perfect for summer
So I just finished my first exam during study leave - not quite sure how it went - but I've decided to reward myself the day off anyway! I hope everyone else's exams are going well as I know there's a lot of GCSE/A level/Uni exams at the moment, so good luck everyone!
One very annoying thing about having a background that isn't white is that these polyvore posts don't tend to look that great. I have considered changing my background to white (but I do like it how it is)- what do you think? Anyway, I've just selected a few items that I'd absolutely love to have in my summer wardrobe. Which ones are your favourites?

My Favourite Things - Part 2
Here is the continuation of my favourite things (you can see part 1 here). It's quite nice to write posts that aren't directly fashion related every now and again, so I hope you enjoy reading this.
6. My sewing machine
I've had this ...well actually I can't remember how long... but it's quite a long time. It's extremely useful and I honestly don't know what I'd do without it! As you can see from the numerous scratches and marks, it's been well used and I'm genuinely really pleased with how well it performs (the machines at school are awful so this one is perfect in comparison!). If you're thinking about buying a machine for yourself, I'd definitely recommend this brand.
7. My magazines
I have a collection of magazines in my bedroom which I refuse to throw away (with the hope that they might one day come in handy - which they actually do!). At the moment I've got a subscription to Vogue so I'm always checking the post to see whether this month's edition has arrived. I really enjoy reading the articles (...ok fine... looking at the pictures!) in fashion magazines and it just gives me a lot of inspiration for clothes, styles and ideas of what to make. There's nothing better than rewarding yourself after a heavy revision session with 150 pages of designer shoes and couture dresses!
8. My pin cushions
Yes, this does seem like quite a random thing to put in my favourites list, but being interested in sewing has led to me receiving quite a few pincushions over the years! In case you can't tell, my assortment here includes a tomato, a bobbin, a mini hat (how cool is that!?) and a button jar/pin cushion lid. Although I have 4 of these wonderful pin cushions, I find that I never seem to actually keep all of my pins in them. It's not unusual to step on a few pins while walking around my room with bare feet.
9. 10 My bag
This is not any old bag. I got this bag as a free gift from the first ever proper/non-public fashion show I went to. Back in 2010, I went to see the Romina Karamanea (not Georgia Hardinge as it says on the bag.. I guess it was because they were both part of the Vauxhall fashion scout) catwalk show at fashion week. It was incredible (especially since I was only 14) and we sat front row and everything! So it's become a sort of memento of the day and is also incredibly useful!
10. My CDs
I don't actually own many CDs in real life form. These 3, however, are an exception. Foster the People, Two Door Cinema Club (so excited to see them tomorrow!) and Imagine Dragons are my favourites and I could listen to them non-stop every day.

Style bloggers
One of my favourite things about having a fashion blog is being able to follow everyone else's. I love scrolling through blogs to see what people are wearing or are talking about at the moment. Since this is such a big thing for me, I thought why not show some of my favourites to all of you. It was incredibly hard to narrow it down (there are so many amazing blogs out there!) but these are a few of the ones that spring to mind. Why not check them out for yourself...

Spring
I can't believe we're 4 days into spring and there's snow outside. Apparently this time last year it was 20 degrees - crazy! My fashion mind is still set on summer though and searching around for brightly coloured clothing and summery prints is getting me even more excited for warmer weather than ever before! I'm also preparing myself for 2 weeks off school for Easter to laze around study for my summer exams. Anyway, just a few outfits to get you into the spring mood...
coat - dress-on.it, shoes -Yves Saint Laurent , skirt - Simone Rocha
top - Scotch & Soda, shoes - Miu Miu, skit - ebay
How was your weekend? Looking forward to Easter?

What I've been liking at the moment...
(checkered crop top - Yayer, green crop top - Roksanda Illincic, shorts - River Island, belt - John Lewis, shoes - Topshop)
1. Crop tops
The chances are I'll only have about 3 days this summer to actually wear a crop top since the weather's so rubbish here in England. Who knows, maybe this summer will be hot and sunny - I'll report back in a few months time. I really love this trend though at the moment. I keep seeing crop tops on other people's blogs and it's given me loads of inspiration.
(black top - Yayer, purple top - Topshop, Shoes - Topshop, necklace - Oscar de la Renta, skirt - Helmut Lang)
2. Off- the - shoulder tops and dresses
I don't know why but I really love this style. I guess it sort of makes an outfit a lot more elegant and can be mixed with something completely not elegant such as the boots above and look amazing.
(top - Givenchy, shoes - Jeffrey Campbell, skirt - Temperley London, belt - Oscar de la Renta)
3. Sheer fabrics
You can never fail with a plain sheer top. I'm pretty sure this trend will never go out of fashion due to it's wonderful versatility and ability to glamourise any outfit (if worn right that is!).
(dungarees - Boohoo, shirt - Todd Lynn, shoes - Jeffrey Campbell, bangle - Kate Spade)
4. Dungarees
Partially inspired by my friend's recent purchase of a very lovely pinafore dress. I really really want some dungarees now!
What items do you really like at the moment? What are you looking forward to wearing?
