Tangerine

Hello all! So, I went to see Two Door Cinema Club last night with a couple of friends. It was really really good (every song they played was amazing) and I'd say it was probably my favourite concert out of the 3 I've been to recently! It was at Alexandra Palace - a very inconvenient place to get to, but a very nice venue overall (we even managed to get fairly close to the front). The support acts were Everything Everything and Chvrches  - I'd recommend both.
The first thing I thought when I put on this outfit was that I wish I had a pair of neon heels. I had to manage without and I instead opted for this belt to add a bit of colour to the outfit. I bought the shirt the other day from a charity shop for £2.99 and added on a top button myself. I've always wanted a plain white shirt but have never gone as far as to actually buy one. I can already tell it's going to be super handy to mix and match with and perfect for summer (if summer decides to eventually arrive). The grey blazer was just a cheap purchase from Primark. It's a great thing to throw on in these confusing temperatures we have at the moment but it doesn't quite compare to other ones you can get such as in Zara and Topshop. I'm thinking of modifying it in some way but I'm not sure how yet (maybe dyeing it or something like that) - any ideas? I've already shown this skirt a couple of times before (here and here) but it was a really good purchase (it pretty much goes with anything).
What do you think of my outfit? Have you been doing anything exciting recently?

Pearls

You're probably really fed up of me talking about the weather, but I have to mention the fact that it's actually starting to get warmer. I quote from the Met Office 'There remain signs of a transition from the current colder than average conditions to more typical conditions for the time of year taking place during mid-April'. This and the fact that it's Easter has put me in a good mood for the past few days and there's lots to look forward to - I'm currently counting down the days until I go and see Imagine Dragons in concert (check them out if you don't already know them, see here).
Enough of my ramblings and onto my outfit. This has to be one of my favourite shirts. I bought it around about this time last year from a vintage fair. I just love the print so much and the style of it. I bought the skirt from Topshop recently with some of my birthday money. I'd been eyeing it up for a while so I was quick to buy it when I had the chance. The problem with being able to make my own clothes is that I can never justify buying anything remotely expensive. If I see something I like, I'll ask myself whether I could easily make it and if not then it's not worth the money (I'll usually end up searching on eBay for something cheaper!). This skirt, however, is unusual in the way that it has different levels and sections to it. It's a bit similar to the panel skirt I made ages ago (here). I'm also a huge fan of the zips on this skirt. I hate sewing zips so I'd say it was justified.
What do you think of my outfit? How has your Easter been?

Sophisticated

I wanted to show off my new jacket today - it's Versace! It was a birthday present, which was going to be thrown away (I know, why would you throw it away?!) and sold but was instead given to me to use. The fur is incredibly soft and I love the colour of it (even though I'm not usually one for pink). Another wonderful birthday present was the heels. I am falling in love with them already. They're brilliant since they add that extra height and oomph to an outfit yet aren't extremely big and chunky. The necklace was also a present - given to me by a friend. I'm not used to styling outfits with smaller pieces of jewellery but I actually really love how this looks.
What do you think of my outfit?
